How long does your groomer take?
 
I can't find a groomer that will take no less than 5 hours. I called my Vet's office that has grooming and told them that I did not want her to spend the day and they said it would not be a problem and she was there for 3 hours, which is alright. Took her in this morning at 9AM, called at 2PM and they said one more hour. I just got PPPPPPSSSSSS off and left to go pick her up, ready or not. They had my cell phone number and land line phone, never called. When I got there she was DONE and waiting for me. She is trained to peepads and has never had an accident but when I brought her home today, she peed on the sofa then sleeps for 2 hours because of the stress.
What is a Mom to do?

Where I usually take Cali she will do her in a= 1 1/2 hours and then I go pick her up. I took her to a groomer I have used a few times when Cali is a mess and she works miracles. SHe use to show yorkies, she is expensive but worth it and she had Cali on Monday from 1 to 4 but that's because she had a lot of matts from scratching. I will not leave mine more than 2-3 hours.

1 1/2 hrs to groom lexi too and let me tell you, they had alot of work to
do on her..

Whenever I bring my babies, I'm in and out in an hour and I always stay there to watch everythhing they do.

How long does your groomer take
 
I see all of you are from the North country, I am in FL, "laid back" people. Lived in MN for a long time, I want things done "Right Now", I did call the manager and complained, she said the next time I bring her in to tell them when I want to pick her up.
What a world we live in.

I allow 2 hours for each dog and only book 1 every 2 hours....Each dog is given a massage, have their teeth brushed, anal glands cleaned, bath and condition, ear canals cleaned and dried in my lap.... cut to owners specifications, nails trimmed.

I found a in-home groomer and I love having her. Just one hour and I stay there, or at least just somewhere out of sight but nearby. I think I will stick to that. We used to use a groomer (store based) and took like 4 hours and cost more so bye bye to that.

I get cut-in-go it's a mobile dog cutting service, they come right to my house, and only take about 40 min. each dog... and i get to watch there every move... i love it....

The groomer I use has you drop them off between 7.30 am-8.00am then she starts grooming 1 by 1. Mine have been there up to six hours.
Come home all stressed out Sissy gets the poops from it. Im not taking them back there,tha is way to long! I have tried doing them myself :eek: so now im looking for another groomer.

She takes about 2-3 hours depending on how many dogs I bring to her. She charges me $20 per dog.

Toby's groomer takes about 2 to 3 hours.

It takes about 45 min for Autumn to be groomed. I have a groomer that comes to my home in a mobile truck!

I had the greatest groomer in the world and she was so great. She did take about 3 or 4 hours sometimes when she was really a mess, but that was because she would bring her dog in and they would play with mine. So it was kind of a play date and groomers. I never had any problem with it. The only part Tinkerbell hated about it is when I would leave and once I left she would be fine and back to herself.

I was very said when the doctor told my groomer that she could no longer do it because of her shoulder. :(

I would try to find someone with a small business that just does it for the love of it. I wish I could have my groomer back. I groom her myself because I do not trust anyone like I did her.

Would love you to groom Tricksie but you are just to far away from FL.
Can't find groomers like you.

I had an in-home groomer for my Maltese that passed away last year at 16. She was here and gone within one hour for $45. She can't take me because she is booked up but I am checking around for another one.

One hour - and my groomer is also a breeder and shower of Yorkies so he knows what he is doing that's for sure. I love him!! (Sometimes it's 45 minutes). I wish I could do it that fast when I do the in between grooms and I just give Izzy a bath...:eek: and he does it all.

It would take me all day to groom my yorkies LOL...I have 7 adults but I don't groom them all in one day LOL. When I do one it takes me 45 minutes for the non show dog but takes me almost 2 hours to do the one show dog. I do my own grooming but will eventually branch out and hope to groom yorkies in my home as a second job <maybe> :)

I really appricate my groomer, I can take anyone of my babies in at 5am and they are done in 1-1/2 hrs. Sometime i take 2 at a time and they are there about 3 hrs tops.I always make sure i get the first appt of the day, that way i know the are not caged and waiting;) mobil grooming is really getting popular her to.

I normally do Mojo and Lily here at the house....but on special occasions, etc. I take them to the groomer. --well, Lily hasn't been there to see her yet. She takes about 45minutes for everything and I get to stay there and chat with her during it all. She charges us $15 and I tip $5. (((Aren't I lucky)))

My groomer is fabulous...Max and Lucy love going she has Boston Terriers so it's like play time when they go...LOL...Her dogs are always with her. I Usually drop them off during my lunch hour and Hubby picks them up a couple of hours later. She charges us $20 for each because, we have 2 but, normally it's $25 for one...but, that is still as great price for a good groomer.

I usually drop off around noon and pick up around 5 and the furkids have never been nervous after or anything.. just happy to see me. I mostly groom myself now though.

I charge $35 and up for yorkies, one hour usually, owners can sit in the waiting room but not standing watching me (makes puppy bouncy and me nerovus!) but I do have a nice large plexiglass window they can peak in occasionally.
99% of the time they don't stay.

When I take Keely its usually about 45 minutes to an hour. I don't think that is long at all. Because I just drop her off and because I'm a Target addict I run up the road and do some shopping and come back LOL! She charges $26, but then she sends you a reminder in the mail of when she should get groomed next and you get a $3 off coupon to use. So I usually pay $30 or $26. I love my groomer. Keely has gone 3 times and she just loves Sue. I was recommend to her from YT member Janie Doyle. Hope its ok I mentioned your name. Janie and my groomer are good friends. And then a few months later I found out that my little sister was dating her newphew. So it was just a small world. Her shop is called Hot Diggity Dog. Isn't that cute? Well I thought I would just share how long it takes to get Keely done.:p
