When you yorkie lovers say brush...what do you mean? Korki is 15 weeks old and 1.2 lbs. I have a baby (human) brush but that doesn't seem to do much good. A regular dog brush is out of the question. I bought a comb at Sally's and that works pretty well for the back and legs but the face is out of the question. Korki won't sit still very long and to brush her tummy she just wants to bite the brush.

I have also read to brush (?) them wet and dry. Which is best? Can you guys share your grooming tools and tricks? I will get the oil.

i bought the isinis brush off of amazon from cache beauty that others more knowledgeable than myself had recommended. It was about $20. It is awesome and I'm glad I took their advice. I do use a comb around her face and to part her hair and occasionally here and there but for the most part I only use the brush. I brush her when wet and blowdry. I don't brush or comb at all inbetween and don't need to with the oil.

I would suggest getting a comb... I've been told that they're actually best.
I also have a huge flat brush with thick metal prongs on it that can tear through small matting on his coat. I wouldn't know where to get onet hough since the groomer supplied me with it when I bought my puppy!

When im brushing Roman i need 2 brushes...one to actually brush him with and one for him to chew on. if i only used one he would just think i was playing with him and move around and try bite the brush. one is a brush i have from petsmart that has soft bristles on one side(which i only use on the thin hair on the top of his head) and the other side has metal bristles. the other brush is a round human brush that my mom didnt want. it keeps him pretty occupied.

Your right I have to give Korki something to chew on just to brush her. It does seem to help. I ordered her fusion brush today. It should deliver by the 24th. Thanks!

I had a very bad thing happen yesterday. I was feeding Korki and she was eating and I turned to go in the other room to give my other dog her meds and I guess Korki followed me. I kick the snot out of her. She cried I cried. I didn't step directly on her but I did kick her hard. She seems ok no limping or sores, but she won't play with me like she did before and is reserved. She will take a cheerio (fav) but very slowly and cautiously and look away. I feel horrible!! She has to fogive me but I know it hurt!

now that molly has such a short coat, my usual brush was to corse for her, so i bought a baby brush from the dollar store:) love good deals, and it works really good for now;)

Molly, I love that name. That's what I am using on Korki right now with a comb. She got her bath last night and I used conditioner. I hadn't up until now. She is in pretty good shape but does have a few tangle on her tummy. I actually had to cut a few out. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her yet. When my brush and emu oil get here, I'll probably decide. She's looking a little shaggy to me.

She wasn't so mad at me last night.
