Clipper blade comparisons Ok so i'm ordering the Andis UltraEdge 2-speed Clipper from pet edge and i'm also looking to order a clipper blade to shave morgan down into a puppy cut. i was gonna get a 7f blade. So i go to order it and there are different brands and different materials... *sigh* why so many choices.... OK, so should i get a ceramic, titanium, or steel blade? also is 7f a good length or should i get a 5f? i like her clipped on her back to about 1/8 of an inch. And, for legs, what should i use on them? I don't like them as short as the body. maybe 1/4 in? should i get another blade or maybe a snap on comb? thanks for the info! |
In the Petedge catalog it tells you which size to use on each type of cut. Maybe a groomer could tell you which blade to get and which lasts the longes without needing sharpening. |
Im gonna buy a peanut for trimming ears and butt. Any advice? Do I need a comb or anything on it, or just trim away. I dont wanna make her butt look bad! You know how us girls are about having a nice looking butt! |
My groomer told me not to use anything less than a #7 on the back. Buddy has a schnauzer cut and his back is like velvet. Anything smaller would be to the skin I would think. I am just learning about these blades and the Andis that I bought last week only has one blade that adjusts. After cutting too short in two places I finally got the cut right. He came out really nice. His back looks exactally like the groomer did it. I would say it's about 1/8". |
lmbo, yep we like our butts too look thier best!:p Quote:
