? for those who shave their yorkies or...Ginger's haircut Part II:) Okay, so I'm mostly finished with Ginger's trim (I posted a thread about this in My Yorkie)...but... how do I make her legs look right??? They are so bony and go in so many different directions and her hair is feather light. The trimmers tend to just push the hair away. I've used the scissors a bit, but her little legs are looking really choppy. I used a #3 on her body, do I go to a lower number (like a #1), help, please, I don't know how to proceed. |
sorry don't know but i'll BUMP for you. |
I can't use the clippers on the legs or I really screw it up. I brush the hair to the side and then trim it with scissors. Then I kind of fluff up the fur on the feet and trim that back. Sometimes I have Loki lie down with his legs straight out and trim it that way. It takes a long time and he gets antsy so sometimes it looks OK, sometimes it's choppy. A skilled groomer could use a comb and clippers, but so far that has resulted in me taking off WAY too much hair. |
