What products have you been trying for flea treatment? aslo i have never heard any good reviews about pet grooming at either one of those places, sorry.you might want to look into that a bit more, i think there are a few threads on here about petsmart grooming, try searching it might help, i use frontline on my babys and it works very well:) |

oh ok ill look into it, TY for the info... |
It's not the hair length on your dog. My Yorkie has medium length hair right now. I used Advantage for a while which works well but last time it only lasted three weeks so I tried Frontline this time. So far it has worked great. You want to make sure you apply it a couple days after a bath. You part the hair on the back of the neck and squeeze the liquid onto the skin (not the hair). Then wait at least three days until you bathe just to be safe. I bathe Lacy once a week and she hasn't had any problems. |
Fleas, oh no! I'm having a minor flea problem at my house too. We have 4 dogs and lots of tile so fleas dont multiply as they would with carpet. Here's what I did over a period of a week and 3 days; :animal-pa Bathed all dogs with a flea product. :animal-pa Washed all dog bedding in HOT water. :animal-pa Put some kind of topical gel on each dog that kills fleas as well as flea eggs. This gel goes on once a month. It's important to try to get products that kill every life stage of fleas. (egg, larvae, pupae, adult) :animal-pa Sprayed all dog bedding with flea killer that is also used on carpet. :animal-pa Of course, treated the 2 carpeted bedrooms they are allowed in. :animal-pa Sprayed dogs with flea killer for dog fur and skin. :animal-pa Bathed the dogs again after a week. :animal-pa If you have a backyard, it is recommended you treat the grass with a fogger. Fleas hang out there too. Pesky little things, arent they? Phew, that was a lot! Well, they say as an estimate, for every one flea on your dog, there are 100 on your carpet. ICK!! Make sure you get all carpeted and bedding areas. Fleas are a hassle! Hope your furbaby is free of fleas soon, -A. |
