shaved body So, Brea has her whole back left quadrant shaved from surgery, a bare area from the darn Bio Spot and another shaved area from the pain patch. Should I just wait and wait for all that to grow in or should I shorten up the the rest of her too? What might make her look a little better other than longjohns.... it's a bit warm now for those! |
Awww, shave her little body. Sounds like she's been through a lot, poor little thing!!! Lots of love and puppy hugs coming her way! I went nuts over Ginger's allergies and shaved her last fall:eek: . Kept her head long. She actually looked really cute...kinda like a little lion. Then, Bernie's foster mom shaved him down because he was all uneven due to his surgery. When we got him his hair was really short. Anyhow, Ginger's hair grows soooooo slowly, and so Bernies already caught up to her! They look cute, just a little short coated. Of course, some guy stopped me in the pet store the other day to tell me he believes its "abuse" to cut a yorkies hair:rolleyes: . Guess it takes all kinds:p Go ahead and shave her down. She'll look better than all uneven...and the guy at the pet store probably doesn't live near you! Here's a link to Ginger's cut last fall: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...13&postcount=1 |

Are you sure that wasn't Morkie that said that at the store!!:D |
When ZsaZsa had her surgery on her back leg to place the pin after she fractured her growth plate they shaved her from the middle of her back down to her little toes. I did not shave the rest of her, it's been almost a year now and you can't really tell. That leg hair is a little shorter but not much. Just a matter of preference I guess. She'll be beautiful either way.:) |
Mojo had his whole front leg shaved when he was on IV for 7 days...it grew back really fast and you couldn't tell....but that was just one leg though. One time, his groomer shaved him down to about an inch (all over), but left his face w/ longer hair (not long, long, but not shaved) and he actually looked cute and it ended up being perfect because we had a HOT summer that year (if I can find those pictures I will post them) So, either way, that is up to you....I think either way will still be cute! |

right now I'm leaving it. Her hair is so pretty I don't want to cut it. She hasn't been able to have a bath since her surgery, so when I can, I'll bathe her and see what she looks like then. she's progressing slowly after her surgery.... still doesn't use the leg much, but the vet said that was ok for now. She gets her stitches out this week. (tomorrow, I think) She isn't ready to play yet either which is a bit hard cause the other dogs want to play with HER~! |
