lazy eye? Have any of you heard of or experienced lazy eye in a puppy? When one eye goes off to one side? Kind of like the same for kids... I really need some info. Thanks:) |
I just pm'd you....the name of the condition is called Amblyopia but ....just guessing here - I don't think it's something serious.. It may correct itself as the puppy ages... have you asked the vet ??? |

Yes, the breeder took her to the vet who told her it might go away and it might now and I called two vets to try and get info. They didn't have a lot to say. I basically wanted to know if it might go away and if it was hereditary. They told me to take the pup to a specialist. I would really like to get this pup - she already has my heart, the little stinker.... but I don't want a slew of health problems down the road. I'm dealing with that stuff now with Brea. Would anyone else buy a pup with this??? |
Our first boy, Boog, had a lazy eye and he was the cutest little thing that ever walked on 4 feet! I think it gave him character...and boy did it ;) ...it never caused him any problems and it did seem to get a little better as he grew up but it was always there to a degree. |
