Pics to take to groomer
 
I am still lost on each of the cuts available (and I think the groomer is too). Can someone please post pictures, especially of the face for the different trims--yorkie, summer cut, teddy bear, schnauzer, etc.

Emmy's hair is getting longer, but is all in her eyes--she won't leave it up. I want the best style for her, but I don't want it all shaved.

I'd like to see some pics of the different types of cuts also....I've had my lil baby 10 days now and I'm learning as much as she is....what a team we are... :luvu:

Here are a few pictures of dogs that I have done at the shop. Heidi is soft coated and her ears flop but I think she looks cute this way.

This is what I call a teddy bear head, cute and round, but all groomers have different names for different things.


Here is a picture of two others, one with a top knot and one with out. The boy on the left has a kind of teddy bear head but he has a silk coat. Lucy on the right has a puppy cut, with a top knot(...puppy cut.... a generic term use to cut hair like a puppy but the length is up to each person to determine)

And last for now is my Tailor the day after his Championship papers got here. He has a heavy silk coat and I left his top know to keep the hair out of his eyes.

I Cut Jd's Hair Real Short On Head, Trim Around Feet Lightly, And Belly Trim. The Rest Just Grows.... He Get's A Bath Every Two To Three Wks. With A Cream Rinse For Pups. Guess It's What You Like Personally..

OMG!!!! Debbie you do such a great job!!!! Too bad you are across the US or I would drive for hours to have you groom my baby!!! I had Buddy groomed last week for the first time and I had no idea what to ask for. My Buddy has really big ears (which I love) ....I asked the groomer not to shave the tips of his ears because I thought it would make his ears look even larger. Do you think that was wise?
Anyway I just wanted to compliment you on your work.:bravo:

Thanks , I have people drive several hours to have me groom their dogs but NC is a bit far. My daughter lived in Chicago until this Saturday when she moved to Seattle Wa , so now her Joey will have his Grandma to groom him again!!! I have been flying two times a year and then she comes out here, Joey gets a bit messy before his hair cuts!!! We will only have a three and a half hour drive, my grand dog will be looking good again.
She tried a few groomers in Chicago even the one Oprah recommended but they cut Joey's butt and he couldn't walk for several days so we decided to travel to keep him safe.

When my clients come in and don't have a clue what they want I ask them if I can just do something I like. But not all groomers have that kind of talent. I ask them several questions, like topknot or not?? and do you like to comb the hair?? From this I can find a place to start.

Buddy's ears will look much smaller if the tips are shaved, the long hair just extends the length of the ears. But you say you love the big ears , then keep the hair on and maximize the look!!!

I'm looking for ideas as well. Spicy is 5 months and just looks like a raggamuffin a day after his bath. I can't decide what to do. His color is also changing so he has white roots and black tips...you can see this in one of the pics on my avatar. Any suggestions??
