Question on Summer Cuts! This is actually a question about my lhasa apso Tallulah, but I figured I'd ask it here anyhow :). She has TONS of fur and I was just wondering those of you that do summer cuts on your yorkies.. do you leave the legs/heads long and just go closer on the back? I'd still like her to be fluffy.. but she just has so much fur she's going to overheat this summer. TIA! :) |
For a "summer cut" we usually do the legs on a lhasa or shihtzu (or yorkie) a bit longer than the body to keep some style and the head long enough to be cute but not as long as when the dog is clipped longer. If you leave the head too long you get a bobble head look. |
1 Attachment(s) I don't know how much shorter you want it, but I saw this cut on a shih tzu that a member from another forum did and I just thought it was so cute. The shih tzu's hair was about 7 inches long so she did get quite a bit cut off. |
