How old was your yorkie when they left bows in their hair? Okay, so how old were you guys' yorkies when they started wearing bows in their hair without taking them out the second you put them in? I've been pulling Heidi's hair up since it was long enough (she's only a little over 4 months old). She will leave in a rubberband until it works its way out from her playing, but when I put a bow in, she takes it out as soon as I let go of her. Will she eventually leave a bow in? |
lexi is 2 now and keeps them in... if they come out, she runs to me to fix it cause her hair is all in her eyes and she cant see. |
I would start out by putting a little flat clip in her hair. Let her get used to the weight of that and then gradually get a barrette that clips, and then go to the bows. |
My snuggle bunny was 5 months old before she learned to tolerate bows in her hair. |
Thanks you guys! I will definitely try that with the flat clip. |
Bows on her hair..... My Kizsez was ten weeks old when I got her and it was from the moment I brought her home to the present (she is now 6 yrs old) that she has allowed me to do her top know and put a bow to it. In fact, she just lays on my lap as soon as she sees me coming with her brush b/c she loves to be brushed. She keeps her bow on until I get ready to change it. |
Gracie is 10 1/2 months, still hates bows. She tolerates soft scrunchies the best of anything. |
I tried for the first time yesterday tying a piece of yarn in Izzie's hair (what little hair she has on the top of her head) :) She looked sooooooo cute !!!!! I think it was light weight enough that she wasn't even aware it was there...I ordered some bows today and going to give those a try next... |
