modified coat :) It is confusing I have asked someone I consider very knowledgeable in Yorkies and basically it describe a wooly or soft coat as incorrect. |

I don't care really-I'm not showing them or breeding. They're just my babies. |

Your baby looks EXACTLY lke mine after bathing and blowdrying. That is amazing!!!! I have pics that look just like that, but are on my old phone. Wow! |
my baby 1 Attachment(s) I'm guessing cotton hair here. |
Cotton or soft coats tangle super easy they reflect no light and tend to go a clerical grey in some cases as the yorkie gets older. Modified coats are a blend of the soft and silk together, they can have a shine but not as great as a silk coat. some can be cool to the touch also. they tangle less Silk coats are very cool to the touch and sometimes will feel like they are still wet as you dry them after a bath and can be thin very unlikely to tangle and if they do super easy to brush out. Wirey coats or as most breeders know them as Hard silk have a rougher texture, they break easily and don't achieve any great lengths. |
Sounds like Bonnie has a modified coat...at least over most of her Jody. Her head is definitely silky. I thought she was going bald because the hair is thin and the roots are now a beautiful silver blue. It looks like she had a bad dye job at the moment...lol! I don't know how she'll look when she's all grown up but I love her😊😍 |
