I need to get him clean, but am not allowed to bathe him Percy just got "fixed" and I am not allowed to bathe him for 10 days, well we are only 5 days into it, and he is a mess. I have been combing him daily and using a detangler, but it really isnt doing the trick. Under his belly is getting matted (in the armpit area) and he is getting that yucky build up feel to his coat. Any good products that will help me get him feeling a little cleaner? Without leaving too much of a build up on him? |
you can try waterless shampoo. i just stuck it out with morgan. she looked like swamp thing when i was finally able to give her a bath hahaha |
as long as you don't get the stitches wet you can use a damp wash cloth to clean small areas at a time. like washing the face. do one area...let it dry and then do another area. that is what I did for mine. I use a little bit of leave in conditioner in the water with a small baby wash cloth. just make sure you avoid the area that was cut. |
Try those bath wipes...You can get 'em at any pet store, they're kind of like a baby wipe, only have more of a "clean doggie" scent rather than the alcohol smelling baby wipes. We use these on our puppies between baths, and on their feet, faces, and butts after they come in from outside. |

Place 1/2 to 1-cup bran, oatmeal, or cornmeal on a cookie sheet. Put the oven on low for 5 minutes to warm the grain. Removing a little at a time, so that the rest stays warm but not too hot, rub the grain into the fur with a towel. Concentrate on the greasy, dirty areas. Then brush these areas thoroughly to get the grain out. |
