Matts what to use? Lily keeps getting matt's and tangles.I brush her every day but she still gets them? What kind of brush and products should i use?Are there any products that keep them from getting matted? |
Always spray them before you brush them so that their hair doesn't break. I use Coat Handler detangling spray, and it works really well. Some other members on here use Chris Christensen Ice on Ice and it works really well for them. The best brush to use that I've read about is a pin brush withOUT the little balls on the end. The one I use is the Chris Christensen gold series pin brush, and it works wonderfully. Good luck :) |
i have the same brush, omg!!! its wonderful.. i love it for myself... |

You need to use a really good conditioner on her if you don't already. Check to see if you can dilute the conditioner down and use in a spray bottle where you don't need to rinse out. Sounds like her hair may be too dry if she matts that easy. I keep the hair cut short under their arms and groin areas. Those seems to be very fine hair that's easily matted, especially if they are wearing clothes or harnesses. I use a slicker brush first, then metal comb. The slicker takes out any matts that may pop up. |
Are you putting clothes on her that causes the matting. I use Best shot grooming spray from Petedge. it works great. You should never brush them dry, always spray them first. I use a people hairbrush with plastic pins. |
I love cowboy magic detangler. I use it just after I towel dry Gracie. The matts just brush away. I also mix some of the detangler one part to 7 parts water and put it in a mister bottle. I use that on her dry hair just before brushing in between baths. |
She dose not really wear clothes all the time just once in awhile. But i do brush her dry.I am going to the pet store today and im gonna try and find some kind of conditioning spray and a good brush and see if that helps.Thats a lot guy's!I learn something new everyday.I would love to have on eof those fancy brushes but thats way to much for me to spend on them, they look great though. |
