Ok, I need advise, Im a newbie at this!!! I now have girl with long face hair, and dont have a clue what to do with it... HELP----HELP-----HELP!!!!! You should see what poor kizzy looked like when i was done grooming her... ' Poor thing, probably thought to herself, OMG mom what are you doing to me... LOLOLOL.. Well I got the front hairs and put them in a rubberband and then clipped the hairbow below the rubberband,..... that lasted a whole 3 mins, then I just clipped the bow to the hair, and opps that lasted 1 sec.. SOOOOOOOOOO now i am frustrated, someone please tell this uneducated yorkiemom how to fix the darn front hairs. AND VILLETTE stay outta this one!! Im not even gonna try the villette braid thingy. LOLOLOL Oh lord please let me fix this babygirls hair pretty, :D |
crazy girls honey, my girl is the same way!! It takes an act of God to keep her in a RUBBERBANDY THING,,,much less a barette!! She digs along the couch and bed until she releases any "hair adornments" so I may suggest...pass on the hair stuff. _Amy |

Ok ....let's start slow - and I promise - no braid !! Step one - get out your valium..... Step two - once you finish.... don't look at her....you'll only get dissapointed & want another valuim when you see her rolling all over the floor on her head..... just kidding !!! Ok. Based on trial and error with my 2 and I'm NO expert - I started with little bows and positioned the topknot towards the front of the head....just a little hair to start with and I didn't use Barrettes. They're hard for me to get in straight so I used the BAND type bows when they were younger and still do. I guess you have to play around to get you and her used to it, but I really liked the el cheapo Pet Edge Bows when my girls were babies....they're cheap and you can just throw them out then graduate to the nicer bows when you get good at it... Go look here just for the visual - I skip the poofy part but it shows you where to gather the hair - they say the inside corner of the eyes...http://www.yorkies4me.com/topknots.htm as far as grooming products you don't really need much - a good shampoo and conditioner really helps but each yorkie is different - what do you think her hair is - silky or cottony ??? With Cottony hair (Chanel) I LOVE the CC systems - and for Cheri who is silky the Plush Puppy works really well on her....and if she is dry or the hair is very dull looking - then I would def get some sea breeze oil - I swear by it for Chanel and am on my 2nd bottle... I hope this helps !! |
