nail clippers? Can someone recommend a good quality nail clipper? I have one that you can adjust so you don't take off too much nail, but it is really noisy when it clips and scares the girls. I had my babies nails and ears done today at the groomer cause she is still so tiny that I'm afraid to do it, but I stayed there and the clipper she used was so nice and quick and quiet. Any suggestions on brands? Thanks, omega |
aw, come on... nobody has one that works really well????? |
Someone here suggested to me to clip right after a bath, that way it doesn't make that "click" noise as bad. I got my clippers from Petsmart. The name on it is Bamboo. They seem to work well, but its my first set too, so I have nothing to compare it with. |
I have been using the same kind that my vet reccomended when I first brought pixie home, and they have been awesome! I carry them in my store under "All About Health" if you want to see a picture. They are like scissors with notches cut out on both sides, and they are SHARP! so when you are clipping, you are cutting from both sides, its quick and quite! And they are small, so your hands are right there next to your pups paws and you are in control of the blades not 6 inches away trying to manipulate them. I have used them on the tiny little 4 week old Chi puppy nails and tip my Yorkies and Crested's nails weekly with them. I like the control, being so close you the paw while working! And the quiet factor is there too! Plus they are so fast and sharp, that you can shave thin layers of at a time if you are unsure of the location of the quick on longer nails... ;) |
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to decide what to use... |
