Hair Growing Back 3 Attachment(s) How long does it take for yorkie's hair to grow back? I had my puppy's hair cut short (not by choice) about a month ago and it doesnt seem to be growing back at a fast pace. The hair on his head has grown a lot, Ive trimmed it down since. Any ideas??? I attached some pics so you can see how short it is. I like the puppy cut but not the puppy shaved cut!:p |
I think it will vary with every dog. Something that comes to mind, is what type of coat he has? My boy has a very thin, glossy, silk coat that never matts BUT is super slow growing. I am too scared to even cut the ends, as my 'dream' is to let it grow out (if possible)..........not too long but long enough. I met a lady who's boy is the same age as mine (6 months) and has 4 times the lenght of hair as mine. Her yorkie looks like a teddy bear.......super gorgeous, BUT it matts like you won't believe and she now going to keep him in a puppy cut. So..................it depends. Your baby is PRECIOUS!!!!!!! |
Awww thank you, yours is too! I got a few recommendations for groomers in my area from some great YT members. When I get up enough nerve, I will take him again. I was so upset about how they shaved my babys hair I havent been able to look at another groomer.:( I trimmed the hair on his head a month ago and that was challenging! His hair is thick and kind of wavy/silky. Its starting to look better, I will give it a couple of more weeks....I guess. Im tired of his head looking bigger than his body.:p |

I don't blame you. I have had my fair share of groomer experiences with my toy poodle. She has super soft coat and never matted as well.........wonder why some groomer's love to shave everything off  ? Last groomer I went to shaved her pom poms.........I was furious but they are growing back. Her hair is all poofy right now due to the winter. When Spring comes, she'll be back in her bikini clip and pom poms :p Good luck :) |
