A grooming/product question Hi, I have read a lot about the different products one can use on different type coats but Lacey has something I haven't seen addressed...her coat almost has a bit of a curl in it...it is long and fairly silky-if anything a bit wooly/frizzy tendancy but also a bit wavy toward the ends. I have tried Petsilk, Chris Christensen and a couple I don't remember from way back when. I can get her coat nice but what could help it be straighter? |
Do you blow dry her hair? I noticed that when I take Mia to the groomers they can blow dry it staight. It's only by her ears that have this wave thing. But I also know that when I get my hair done, the hair lays down better than when I do it. |
Ive heard cowboy magic is good for the hair but I havent tried it yet. I ordered some off of ebay and should get it next week |
Blow drying should get it straight for the most part. I was at a dog show yesterday and saw them using flatirons on the yorkies hair. So, I guess you could use that, I would think though it couldn't be good for their hair over the long term. |
Sparkles has the same kind of coat. My groomer told me that i should blow dry it when i groom her to make it straighter. She also put a little Neutragena in a bottle with some water and that seemed to help it stay down too.;) |
I have a cottony Chanel and use Sea Breeze by Plush Puppy ...it really helps her hair lay flat and is an anti breakage water based oil - it doen't get on clothes or anything - totally absorbs into the hair. For her -it's the ONE product I can't be without |
Pixies Butt hairs are very curly.... Ok... That reads sooooo wrong.... The hair towards pixies butt is very curly...:D I had a hard time with that one too... The best ever product I have found and it works like a charm is Plush Puppies Blow Dry Cream. Its a cream.. you grab a bit of it, rub it between your hands and then pull it through their towel dried or even a dry coat... then you brush and or dry... the coat lays soooo straight! Its awesome and its super silky too without any oily or heavy product feel to it... its awesome stuff.. I have been working in the same pot for 6 months now.. the stuff is super concentrated as all of their products are... V can tell you that! So it'll last and last... but seriously... its great stuff... Someone eles just bought it and fell inlove... Search Plush Puppy there are a few threads here on YT... |

Thank You Kathryn. I was just asking about this product in another thread and wondered how well it worked. I think I'm going to get some. |
Puppy Plush For show I use a combo of blowdry cream and swishy coat by Puppy plush. Take 1/3 teaspoon of each, mix with 1 cup hot water, let it emusify over night and spray onto the coat before blow drying. This was highly recommended to me by some handlers I spoke with. It's expensive but lasts forever! |
