Help from all the long hair dog owenrs.
 
Okay my little girl Mia has l long hair but I TRY to keep her rear end cut so she does not get any poopy on her. Gross I know...bear with me. :p

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cut that area so it would look okay but she would not get anything on her hair anymore. I have it trimmed up now but she still gets yucky there sometimes. Thats! Pics would be great - I know I am asking for rear end shots - ha, ha - what has happened to me???? :p :p

LOL I don't have any pictures but I found trimming a SMALL area works wonders - too much trimming and your yorkie will have the DREADED BABOON BUTT !

I use the WAHL trimmers and it's swipe swipe and I'm done - Chanel actually LOVES it when I trim her booty - she just plants those feet a mile apart and says...HAVE AT IT MOM :)

i use that one tooo vilette, that works great.. i use that between her nose
believe it or not... but im gonna try it oh her butt this time..

I haven't trimmed that area yet, we are still getting know each other (lol) but plan on doing it with scissors. I do the maltese and my husband helps me. So for now, Mr. Toby is getting a booty wash when there is a mess.;)

Villette, I always look forward to your remarks . . .now I got my morning chuckle fix :)

Well Annika has that same problem . . whenever she poops, something always gets left behind :eek: and I always have to clean her booty. Tiger has hair in his booty but I never have a problem with him . .why is that? :eek: Anyway, I got the wahl trimmer at Walmart but I feel they are just way too big and not the right size for my furbabies. Where is the best place to buy smaller sizes such as what you have?

I also use a small Wahl clipper and shave all four of mine, plus their little bellies. No more "cling-ons" for my gang!! :D I use to use a mustache shaver, but hubby wasn't thrilled when he found out I used his....LOLOL

Do you also do the ears? I've read that you should use a #40 or #30 blade to do the ears but when I go to Walmart and look on the package, it does not tell you the blade number. I haven't done his ears yet except for the very top edges with scissors....but I know I need to get goin on the ears so they stay nice and perky. I found a clipper on the J&B wholesale web site and for $50 I can get a clipper with a #40 detachable blade. I am so confused about what to get. I do ALL my on grooming for both the maltese and still learning on the Yorkie. You have a product code as I noticed Walmart had several and do did target when I looked at clippers today. HELP:eek:

I use the same one as Villette on my four. I do there ears, stomach and butts. I got mine at Walmart for about $25.

Girl ! I got mine at Sally's Beauty Supply for 9 bucks ! It's the blue one -

I do ears, butts , tummies (hoo-hoo's) :p and bottoms of feet with mine -
