flea shampoo then regualr.. hi i want to bath all the pups tonight and i noticed the new puppy has a flea so i wanted to give them all a bath w/ flea stuff but then wanted to use the smell good stuff, will that counter-act the flea shampoo??? |
Flefa shampoos aren't all that effective, and if he got one flea he will probably get more, I would get some frontline and skip the flea shampoo. |
i get frontline often but i have never had a problem w/ fleas so i dont use it every month more like every other month |
i used gold medal from walmart and it worked great. the fleas fell right off and washed down the sink. i wouldn't use another shampoo after. it could irritate their skin. (romeo got fleas from the groomer at petsmart) are they old enough for flea shampoo??? maybe you should consult your vet. |
Flea shampoos are very drying to the coat and skin and really don't even work once they are rinsed off - you're drowning more fleas than actually killing them. It's also very possible that the baby will have a reaction to the shampoo. |
Thanks i just gave them a regular bath and im getting up early (hopefully) to take the puppy to the vet and then i will buy them all some flea med, i noticed after they were all dry, that now my other female had one flea that i had found so far, has anyone ever tried zodiac or bio flea meds and di they work? |
