need scissors to groom lexi, but i dont know what kind to get.... i use them to trim the hair from inbetween her eyes, she does stay still for that.. also to trim her coat. ive been using other ones, but they are so dull and really not for cutting hair. and where to get them too.. dont want to spend 9000 dollars either.. i also trim her ears to a point.... |
I bought a small pair of blunt tipped scissors at a dog show for Cali and they work great. If you look online at petedge \,Foster and Smith they have different kinds and prices. I paid 20.00 for the small ones and they cut great. |
thanks patti, but they have 90 million different one to choose from at petedge. i was gonna order from them, just got totally confused on which one to get...any ideas. pictures or something... |
2 Attachment(s) Mine say Anvil 240 B Ice stainless on them. I got them from a vendor who only sold scissors and he recommended these for trimming her face and paws. They work great for every where. I just trimmed her length a little to even her out. Here's a couple of pics. I put a pic of my cell phone so you can see the size. I can also ask my sister what she uses when she gets off work. SHe has shown her dogs and does her own grooming. |
Pet Edge!!! |

You could probably use the blunt edge scissors that you find in the baby dept. for cutting a baby's fingernails |
ok just ordered from dr fosters... by mistake though.. we shall see how they work. patti one scissor was the one you have... |
What wee they charging for the ones I have? Just curious. |
ok patti, dont go nuts ok , the four inch, just like yours 7.99 and another one aquatic tissue scissor for 2.99 with shipping total bill is 19.97 |
Don't worry i'm use to being taken!!!lol Glad you got a great price on them! |
Gina, I got some scissors at the local Sally beauty supply store...paid like $20 for them and LOVE them. I clean them off and trim my son's hair too when it gets scraggly on the neck!! I bought thinning shears to keep the face neat and use the straight ones on the ears and between eyes. I can't remember the name of them, but they have black plastic handles. Highly recommended by my groomer, as she didn't like the standard "dog" scissors for yorkies. |
