Bathing After Surgery Those of you that have had to deal with this what did you do/use? I know ZsaZsa won't be able to get wet for some time after her procedure. Has anyone used the no water type of shampoo? What have you done? |
I did use the towlettes on Sissy following her spaying. She had teeth pulled also, so she had blood around her mouth and she looked very pathetic. The wipes work okay. I've seen many brands out recently that are a large towlette similar to a diaper wipe that appear to be little more wet than the ones I had. Hope you have good luck with them. Give ZsaZsa hugs and kisses from Sissy and I!! |
All of mine just went dirty after surgery. I do use baby wipes that I dampen with extra water on their faces and the boy's wee wees but that's all they got. Waterless shampoo sounds like a great idea! |
I just let Diamond go...I didn't want to ruin her stitches. I just have wipes for her face and butt :D She is going to the vet on Monday to get the stitches removed so you can almost bet she will be getting a bath on Monday night! |
The surgeon said she needs to be kept quiet, clean and dry for 6 to 8 weeks. I'm not sure what all is involved in her procedure at this time. So I'm thinking no going outside and only potty pads..... she gets soaked when she goes out in the morning just from the dew on the grass. Can't imagine not getting a bath for almost two months. |

She couldn't get wet for 2 weeks either. I did use an old face cloth to mop her up a bit. I actually soaked it to clean up her face and then used a dry one to dry her off some. It helped, but boy did she need a bath! |
