Urine Stains on Coat Hi everyone! I was backlighting my carpet last night to clean urine stains, and I saw that Whimsy's face, ears, and feet had urine stains. I just washed those spots, but I just looked at his coat under the blacklight and the stains are still there. Have any suggestions on how to get rid of these stains? Thank you! |
Try doing a full, regular bath and see if you get the same results. Could be that doing just a partial bath didn't clean adequately, not enough water and shampoo or soaking time. |
Soaking time with the shampoo is important . Wrap in a towel for ten minutes. Wash in the shampoo from root to tip. I take the hair and with my fingers make sure it penetrates all through the coat. Gentle touch of course, no harsh rubbing. |
Thanks for the replies! I just washed him on Thursday, but maybe I'm not soaking his hair long enough. The thing is, I was told I couldn't wash the face with shampoo. I've been using the plum wash on his face. In any case, Whimsy is face shy. I don't know how to break this habit. He barely lets me wash or touch his face. |
Maybe you could try chicken. Or something super yummy?? I use tearless shampoo on their face. |
Urine Stains on Coat Can someone adivice me on tips to remove urine stains from marble around our commode Please help us to restore marble withour an discoloration of the marlbe thanks |
I use Bio-Groom So-Gentle tear free shampoo on Deuce's head and face. I get it from the Pet Edge catalog. He tolerates it very well. I am very gentle with this head as I don't want to get water in his ears or make him nervous. Talk softly and stop if you must to calm him down I also use a faucet that extends to a sprayer. It works very well for soaking and rinsing. I can't say Deuce loves it but he cooperates. |
