Questions about my baby's coat. Pls help 4 Attachment(s) I haven't seen many yorkies in person in my life, my baby girl is one of the first. It was after i brought her home i started learning so much about them and that they even have different types of coats. Well now I'm just curious as to what she has. Having no experience maybe some of you could help me out. I've uploaded a handful of pics to her album. I also have this pic of her eye cuz i heard of that eye trick but this was the best shot of her pupil i could get. Smart girl kept closing her eyes and didn't like the flash lol. Her coat is wavy and i'd consider it thin. She's 9 wks old so i understand its probably hard to tell but id just like some opinions. Thanks :idontknow |
Your baby is adorable. :) Yorkie puppy coats can be a bit difficult to tell exactly what they will end up with as adults. Even harder to tell in photos sometimes. Puppy coats can be a challenge to take care of for the first 6 - 9 months, even if the dog ends up with the perfect silk coat. I wouldn't rely too much on eye shine. There are many factors that can influence eye shine, especially in photos. My Teddy's eyes often shine gold in photos, but he does not have a cotton coat. |

She's beautiful!! |
1 Attachment(s) She is adorable! I have a 3 month old and he has a cottony coat like his mom. Your little girls looks a lot like him. Wickets brother has more of a silky coat. Wickets gets knots and tangles very quickly, his brother rarely does. Here is a pic of wicket |
Winnies was like that too....make sure u brush every day cuz the puppy coat gets tangled and knotty! Now that she is 9 months it's much easier to handle...her coat is silky and doesn't tangle hardly at all. I agree it's hard to tell when they are that young... |
