shedding i know-yorkies don't shed-but, mine does. she has a wonderful coat, nice & thick, silky, no skin problems, no fleas, doesn't scratch, a healthy happy strong little dog. But, she sheds. Someone told me to get a FURminator-& that's just silly. Yorkies don't have animal fur-they have silky baby hair--you know, you've all felt it. Anything new out there to stop shedding? :aimeeyork |

The best way to keep down on hair around the home is to brush them daily, or morning and night |
Young pups do shed until they get their adult coat. That will very on how long that takes but once you notice a color change that is when you will notice the change in the shedding from puppy hair to their adult. Once that happens they do shed some as Kazzy described above. Not sure how old you pup is but young or old Yorkies do shed to different degrees depending on age. I also would suggest more frequent grooming. |
In addition to shedding, it could be breakage. |
I agree that it could be breakage and it could be normal 'shedding' like a human. |
