Need some grooming tips Never delt with how to fix this problem before, the family I got Louie from clearly did their own grooming, and scissored around his face, especially his eyes, really funny so the hair is now growing back and keeps rubbing his eyes and causing problems. I have to clean his eyes several times a day to keep the gunk under control because of how the hair is right now - Any advice on how to train his hair so it doesn't do this? Want to get the nose hairs to lay flat down the nose and the top knot hairs to go back instead of falling into his eyes, but the hair isn't long enough yet to band. http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...7430A20036.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...79A966DF97.jpg |
Is it in his eyes because it's short and pokey or because the hair is too long? I just use hair scissors and cut that hair right near their eyes, keeps eye junk from forming and keeps the hairs from being irritating. I was also taught by my groomer friend to shave the bridge of the nose. This helps the 'beard' look right. As for his top knot I keep mine short so I'm no help but maybe use a Barrett? |
His hair isn't long enough for a Barrett. And yes, it's because of how is hair is growing and the current length that's the problem. When it grows out better it'll be easier to get to stay out of his face but at this stage I don't know what to do. I plan to keep letting his coat grow, I prefer the long silky look to the shorter styles. |
