Anyone use Les Poochs brushes?
 
Does anyone here have Les Poochs brushes? They were recommended to me. Checking on line, the one I REALLY want, the Les Poochs Gold Finishing Brush. I like the fact that they are German Steel. I am a bit hesitant to spend $75.00 on a brush, but I'm on the verge of splurging for my girls. Lacie's breeder, who is a professional groomer and has some of the nicest show dogs in the ring recommended it. wow that is some fancy brush for sure. have never used it but sounds like it will leave them shiny and beautiful..

No but it sounds really nice. I just have too many veterinary expenses to waste cash on those kinds of splurges for my pets and they will just have to suffer with the commoner's brush, the $20 Madan. I think you should get it though.

If you're going to splurge might as well go for the $100 top of the line model! For that price maybe it comes with one of those pills that you add water to and will grow into something......like a groomer to take ring! :p

:D Nothing but the best for my girls; have to keep them in top form for the show ring. I try to find the very best products available and I don't mind spending a bit extra for top quality that has a long useful life. Can't beat good German steel. I guess if my kids had health issues I might not be able to splurge, but then again, they wouldn't be in the show ring.

Oh I was just kidding Chatties Mom :) My dogs have the absolute best of everything. Despite not being show dogs, a couple of them are prettier than most garbage I've seen peddled in the ring. You're right about the german steel. I think I will get them a couple of these brushes. Thanks for the share :)

I looked at that one, but didn't like it as much as the Gold brush. I needed a soft brush. It was my groomer/mentor that suggested the brush. She told me it was well worth the price - I was just hoping one of my YT family members had used one. I just ordered - will update everyone when it arrives.

Oh, I didn't realize that you had a groomer. I thought that I recalled you posting the other day that you groomed yourself. :) Obviously, I was trying to make a joke about the groomer in a pill form :D

LOL I did get your joke, and I do all of my grooming except at shows - my "show groomer" is also Lacie's breeder, the owner of Lollie's sire, and the girl's handler.

Sorry for the confusion. And I do agree that it is sad that there are so many greeders out there breeding yorkies with health issues.

I have one that was gifted to me and I love it. Yes, it is a great tool for the perfect finish (although I have been lazy lately and not giving my boys' coats enough attention).

Actually I have had a couple of rescued pups with gorgeous, long flowing coats. My Olivia's hair grows SO fast. I keep it cut short now, but her coat is amazing.
People are so wrong about rescues....they assume that well bred yorkies don't end up in rescues. Just not true!

I should clarify MY RESCUE DOGS. I totally agree there are lots of rescues that have beautiful coats. Not only Olivia, you have Pippi and Armani too. Winston (107 Barney) such a beautiful dog too. As for health issues my three have been pretty darn healthy. So I take health over coat any day :thumbup:

:thumbup: I think you will enjoy having it. I like having a wide variety of grooming tools and this is a great addition to your arsenal, especially for a show dog.

Chris Christensen gold brush is one of the best and not as expensive
