Pet trimmers or wahl peanut? Is it worth getting "pet trimmers" ? They advertise won't pull hair. Have my eye on the peanut too. Terrified or trimming in pads :( |
I have the wahl peanut and it works great. Small in size and easy to control. Doesn't make a huge noise or vibrate much which my pups like. Debbie (Paige, Katie and Tea') |
Thanks Cordless or cord? I understand a corded last longer but I won't be using it heavy duty.and I like that a cordless would be more user friendly. Ever have pulling problems? |
I have the cordless model...love it. No pulling either. |
Personally, I don't care for the Wahl Peanut. I find that it runs rough and is louder than my regular clippers. I use Andis : Amazon.com: Andis 2-Speed Detachable Plus Pet... For their pads, I use a 5/8 toe blade Amazon.com: Andis Carbon-Infused Steel UltraEdge... |
Looks good I wonder if it's more than I need..... I don't intend on shaving just trimming ears and feet pads. Wanted a cordless , the way my bathroom is set up corded would be awkward.....I really like that interchangeable 5/8 " blade . I was looking At a Wahl Professional Animal 41591-04301 ChroMini Professional Cordless Pet Trimmer . It claims to be small, light and quiet and powerful but I don't understand all the specs. ....still has larger head..... Do you know what this one is like? |
I have not had good experiences with the cordless, but I do like using them. It seems that they just stop holding a charge. Someone was discussing the Dremel for nails the other day and I can't find that discussion. Does anyone remember which was supposed to be the best version? TIA. |
I use a cordless peanut for Gracie. Works great! It uses batteries. They seem to last a long time for us. |

I have the Wahl mini arco for trimming ears and feet. It is cordless, rechargeable and runs much quieter than any other trimmer I have had. |
I have a Wahl Touch Up Animal Trimmer. It's easy to handle and perfect for keeping his cut looking fresh. I always use it on his ears, paws and sanitary area. It runs on batteries and came with a smaller trimmer for paws. It works great and goes forever on the batteries. Perfect for all the little trimming. I have an Andis for the full body shave. The Wahl was very inexpensive. I got the two pack from Pet Edge. |
