Winter Cuts 1 Attachment(s) What is everyone using for winter cut? I need to take Darla to the groomers but unsure of the cut I want. I love this one below but Darla still isn't much of a clothes wearer. Can you post pics of your pups? I'm still trying to get Darla to wear a bow too |
Super cute pup & cut! I think she'll be cold in this cut tho, esp if she doesn't like to wear clothes. I grow out their hair in the winter months & it doesn't even get that cold here. But if you really need Darla groomed, I would request a longer cut on the body, maybe w/a 4FC or 4 1/2FC blade. It will leave about 3/4" of hair on the body. They also can use a comb which comes in a variety of longer styles, from 1" & up. |
I agree, the cut is adorable! I would leave it longer on the body for warmth! |
I shave Kaji down due to his soft coat tangling easily. Less stress on him since I'm not bothering him with the demating process. He does wear clothes when he's cold. This week it hasn't been an issue. He's been walking around nekkid lately. |

I am browning Galen's coat. The cut is cute but it is definitely not a cold weather cut |
I keep Dooney's body shaved and his face/tail/legs hair long....I love the way he looks with his current cut. He does wear clothes to keep warm. |

When I gave Huey a bath yesterday, I realized his hair is almost touching the floor all the way around. I trimmed around his feet so he wouldn't walk on it, but otherwise just left him long. He hates to be dressed, so although he tangles with clothes on, it is so rare as to not really be a problem. |
