New puppy…deciding between a few grooming supplies..help please :) We just got a puppy who will be 13 weeks tomorrow :D The breeder likes the CC Spectrum 10 shampoo and conditioner so I was thinking about ordering the trial kit. I also was going to see if I can get the Biogroom puppy shampoo and silk cream rinse I'm not sure what brushes and combs I need. Thinking of the Madan lavender brush (reg size). Do I also need the small one for her head? The CC site suggested I get the small wood pin brush and a 20 mm pocket fusion brush. Any ideas on what comb/s I may need? thanks so much! (if it helps, she has a silky coat not a cottony one and a greasy lil head lol) |
Congrats on your new pup! If you're thinking of getting a Madan brush, I sell them.:D I recommend getting any of the Small pin brush, it's a color choice, it comes in 1 medium soft cushion. It is somewhat firm, firmer than the medium soft in the Regular brushes. It's great for all hair types & brushes out tangles easily. The small size is perfect for Yorkies, toy-small breeds. The 4.5" Mustache Comb is a must have! It has a fine side like a flea comb & it will catch all tangles. Also combs out eye gunk (please moisten the area b4 combing out). As your pup grows, depending on if you're going to grow his hair or not, then you can decide to get a bigger brush or comb. I love espree products! You can get it from petco. If they don't have it, I have a select few of my favs (perfect for Yorkies) in my site. Biogroom is also excellent, you can email them & request samples. I have not tried CC shampoo & cond, so I can't comment on them but have read that they're wonderful. I have the CC wood pin brush & hardly use it...my guys don't like it, it pulls on their hair. |

i'm looking at your line right now :) what's the difference between the all in one and the plum shampoo and conditioning set? Basil is going to have a very silky coat. not a hard silk or cotton. |

I use the CC Spectrum 10 and I absolutely love it! Piper has a very fine silk coat and it makes her so soft and it smells really good. Dang, I didn't see the shampoos when I placed my order. I've been wanting to try the plum. I'll be placing another order!! :) |
What's cc spectrum 10? Is that a different brand of shampoo? |
It's Chris Christensen (sp?). I use Spectrum 10 and Day to Day and love both of them but the spectrum 10 makes her noticeably softer. |
Hi. I have the small Maden brush, a 6" metal grooming comb and the 4 1/2" mustache comb. I always comb Gracie out before I brush her and the metal grooming combs are necessities as far as I am concerned. The small comb is great for the head, ears and legs while the 6" comb does a good job on getting tangles out of the body hair. When her tangles are taken care of the brush is a nice way to get a nice finish to the coat. The CC products are all quality and will do a great job on your baby. I personally prefer all natural products so I use a different brand. I know that many people who show their dogs use the CC brand. I do use the CC Show Off spray shampoo on Gracie when she gets her feet or body dirty when she is outside. It's great to have around to do a quick spot cleaning. Best wishes to your and your new baby. |
I use the CC day to day. I love it. |
