Grooming tables Ok I want to pick your brains. As you know the holidays are coming. What I would love is a grooming table. Silly but hey it is useful. I am not sure if a small stand alone or a lazy Susan type is better. So I figured I would come to all of you to get what you have used and what you find you like and don't like. Thanks |

![]() We have this one and love it. Handy as it's so portable. It swivels, which makes grooming easier. Light but sturdy. |
This is the grooming table I have had for over a year and I love it: ![]() It is very well made and sturdy, and is large enough for my girls to feel safe, yet they don't try to wander around. I used to groom them on the kitchen counter or a table on the patio, and they would always try to walk around. With the grooming table, they pay attention and stand still much better, which helps us all get done quicker. The arm is sold separately, and now that my 4 are so used to the table, I don't have to use the arm/noose. This table works well for all my dogs, the 6-7 pounders and one 17 lb.; someone with only one little 4 lb. pup would not need this large of a table. This table is also very handy for other purposes too. I put a tablecloth over it and use it for a portable bar at a party, or for a dessert table at Thanksgiving, etc. |
Thank you for asking this question, Teri. I'm looking into getting one, too. Marcarter (sp)..Huey's mom...she got one last year that she loves. Perhaps PM her or search thru this section..I believe she posted it when she got it. It's been within the past year. |
I have this one Dog grooming tables With the optional basket & stand for dryer. It's brilliant, really sturdy, had it for years. |
As long as your pup does well being handled and turn by you and sits/stands well during grooming I don't see any need for the turn table. |

I got this same one, and as Terri said, I love it! I also bought a hands-free dryer to use with it. Quote:

I was looking to buy a grooming table too. The thing that stopped me is the height of them. The ones I've seen are 30-32 inches high, and that still seems pretty low to me, as it's the same height as a regular dining table. I think I'd prefer something more along the lines of 36inch high standard counter height. So, now I'm debating between buying a table or building my own. Anyone have a problem with the height of their table? The whole reason I was looking at a grooming table is to avoid the backache of bending over. But at 30-32 inches, it seems like you'd still be bending a bit. |
Oh I did not think about that. . . Hmmmmmmm |
