doggie hair spray/hair gel When I rescued Ricky, the foster mom had gotten him all cleaned up and groomed for me. This included cutting all of the hair around his eyes!! Well...now I am in the process of growing it out and I can fit the top of it in a pony tail, but the part where she cut short is growing out and is getting in his eyes....covering his eyes...getting crusty. It looks awfully uncomfortable. I know I could trim it again...but he's a wiggle butt and I'd rather not put clippers or scissors around his eyes. Its just getting to the point where I can pin it back with a clip, but Ricky likes to try to rub them out. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to use to smooth the fly aways in their top knot. |

Thanks!! That's exactly what I was looking for!! |
Oh my gosh...when I had Jasper groomed the first time, the groomer shaved around his eyes and the bridge of his nose. I'm trying to grow his hair back out, as well. But, it grows so slow and he gets those crustys, too. He is such a wiggle worm that I can't get all of it out. Drives me nuts....which drives him nuts because I'm constantly trying to get it out. Am I right in my thinking that if it grows out he won't have that crusty stuff anymore? And that his hair and whiskers (which she also cut really short) will lay down again? Sorry....not trying to high jack your thread OP. :) |

Comb the hair on the sides of the snout every day and it will lay down flatter as it grows and is trained by the combing. You can wet it down too while growing it out. |

Yup Joel is so used to me cleaning his eyes, I just say "quit moving" lol and he stays still. Definitely use the flea comb, it helps a lot:) |
