Static in his hair?
 
So Wednesday I gave Wallee a bath trying his Chris Christensen products. I loved the smell and the softness of his coat. What I am noticing now, 2 days later is that he seems "staticky". I am not sure but think maybe it has made him dry? He is quite curly and cottony coat. I am just wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this and what product did they put on to remove the static and replace the moisture? The detangling spray says it can be used daily, but it seems that when it dries, it doesn't leave any moisture behind at all. Oh, I have tried yorkie splash and shine which didn't seem to make him as dry but did feel waxy.

Sure is tough getting a product that works on all types of coats ;)

I haven't had this problem myself, but I heard that wiping an unscented dryer sheet (like Bounce) on the coat helps with static. Always worth a try ;)

I had the same experience with the Yorkie Splash and Shine. We have been using the Espree products and I think, because our house is so dry, we have had a few issues with static. I have been using the Espree Aloe Hydrating Spray (EAHS) with fairly good results. Another member recommended the Magic Touch Grooming Spray (MTGC) and it works wonderfully! I purchased the formula #1, for fine fur/hair and it works great! It has a bit of a strong smell when first applied but tempers in a few hours and smells very nice. I really appreciated finding out about this. I haven't had to respray the MTGC each day, like I did when using the EAHS before combing Princess Sophie out twice each day. We are very happy with the MTGC

Mandie's hair was really dry and staticky before I started using Espree and also argon oil and coconut oil.

I swear by the #1 All Systems. I love the shampoo and conditioner which are very concentrated and I can dilute it down more in winter than summer, and it never dries my girls coat. I buy these by the gallon since it's a better deal and last forever..........and ever. ;) #1 All Systems

I use the Super Cleaning & Conditioning Shampoo and the Super Rich Protein Lotion Conditioner. Just LOVE this product.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I am sure it is because our house is so dry. I think I may also try diluting the shampoo a little so it isn't so harsh during these winter months. I am sure when the heat finally goes off, things will be better. :xfingers:
