shamoo and conditioner recommendations ?
 
HI EVERYONE
some dog shampoos and conditioners i finally got my pup to the vet all is well he just has a case of dry skin so im looking for a puppy grooming treatment that caters to dry skin ... ive been looking for ingredients like oatmeal aloe vera chamomile and vitamin E ... just curious to hear your favorite brands

I don't have a rec for shampoo/conditioners for dry skin...but Zeus had dry skin when we adopted him. I put him on an apple cider vinegar/water mix and it took care of it. :) 1 tsp / liter of water. He has a special pre-made bottle. I noticed a difference after a few days, much to both of our relief!

Joey's breeder recommended Biogroom shampoo and conditioner and she said to always use a conditioner because it conditions the skin as well as the hair. Another tip is to rinse more than you think you need to, rinse one minute after you think you’ve rinsed enough, and never use too hot of water which can be drying. The white flakes you see on some dogs is dry skin and can come from not rinsing enough. For a free sample of shampoo and conditioner, including the oatmeal shampoo and fluffy puppy shampoo, email the Biogroom Company and ask for samples, they send it free of charge, and don’t forget, it’s concentrated, mix with water before using. I like the silky and lush for mine. The smell lasts a long time.

i only use yorkie splash n shine. i love the smell and i love how it makes them tangle free and shiny.

Do you use the shampoo and conditioner? I just ordered the detangler, for Ralphie who tangles so easy. I never realized haw easy Joey's coat was until I got Ralphie. I can't wait to get it.

yes i use all three and just placed my second order. i love them and how they work on all my kids.....cedric tangles very easy. :D detangler works awesome and smells yummy.

I've got to admit, I'm anxious to smell it. The way everyone talks about it, I'm thinking of using it for my new scent! :D

haha. my dh makes me spray and brush them down before bed so he can cuddle with three good smelling babies!! :D

Hi, my name is Diane and I'm going to be picking up our new Yorkie baby (Sophie) in 4-5 weeks. I would like to know if anyone knows of a tear-free shampoo/conditioner?

I think all conditioners would be tear free, and Biogroom shampoos are tear free, as I said in an earlier post, if you email them they will send you samples. Don't be fooled by using baby shampoo, while it might be tear free, it's not gentle on a dog's skin, it's made for babies who often have craddle cap, and the pH is different and cause overdrying.

Don't know which company you want, Biogroom gives out free samples, and this is their website. Bio-Groom - Exceptional Pet Care Products for Over 30 Years Look for the words, "contact us" at the bottom of the page. There samples are free and you don't even have to pay for shipping.

Thank you! I just emailed them and asked them to send me some samples, I didn't mention any specific kinds, and they sent me I think 5 different small bottles. It's worked for everyone I've told about it. Don't forget they are concentrated, so you will be adding water before you use it, it says on the packaging, even the big bottles say it, but it's hard to read on the small bottles.

Thanks! I just sent them an email and am hoping for some samples as well. I like that their products are all natural and vegan. I feel so much safer using something like this on my babies!!

I started using the Yorkie splash and shine shampoo and conditioner and love it! Took my silkie gal to the groomer and she couldn't believe the difference in her tangles! She even charged me less for not having to spend so much time with her I'm sold on it! :thumbup:
