Hair bands.. does it matter? So I've noticed dog boutiques have hair bands and so do beauty supply shops. Does it matter where you get bands from for top knot? Is there a difference in bands for dogs vs humans? This is our first time trying this. We decided to let waffles hair on her head grow out to see her with a top knot. Its not long at all right now (maybe an inch). But it is long enough to start getting her used to bows. A co- worker gave me 3 she made and our groomer gave me a bag of a few hand made ones. Everyone is excited about Waffles with a bow. Thanks for any input. :) |
No difference.... latex ones are best... I buy little girl's hair stuff at WalMart for everyday wear... |
I, too, use the latex baby ones from Walmart. They come in many colors and are soft and stretchy! :aimeeyork |
Ok thanks that's great! :-) |
The ones from walmart are probably not latex but silicone, children's snag free hair bands. This is what I use since it's so inexpensive & you can just cut them off. It's usu one size. Latex bands are much stronger & what show enthusiasts use for wrapping. There's the latex free version for those w/latex allergy. They come in different sizes. The bands that are on bows are latex or latex free bands. |
Ok thanks:-) I have a few bows with bands. That explains what they are. |
As a bowmaker, I LOVE putting Jazi's top knot up in terry bands made for little girls. Even though I used the no damage bands, sometimes they still pull a little of her precious hair out. |
If anything is different, I would say it's price. |
