Anyone use a WET BRUSH? I have used these brushes on my own hair (which is short) and several kids I have nannied for. One of those children was American indian and had a FRO beyond compare. It worked WONDERS on her hair and got me to thinking..... I bet this would work great to brush out a wet from the bath Yorkie. Has anyone tried it? Thoughts? The price is right ~ I think I may have to give it a try after Christmas. |
Also found a "squirt" or mini that looks to be a better size for my little ones. |
Those look so neat!! I put the mini and the paddle one on my amazon wish list. The mini for my mini's and the paddle for Kerra Ann. She has the thickest head of hair on a kid I have ever seen and it knots up like tiny spiderwebs!! |
My only hesitation would be looks like the pins have balls at the end, which can be damaging. I can't brush my guys when they are wet. The hair pulls too much for me. I use a really wide tooth metal comb sometimes, but mostly I comb them out before their bath and then wait for them to dry. |
I'm w/Kristen...def no balls @ the end & no brushing wet hair as both can damage the hair. It's not recommended to brush human hair when wet either...you can use a wide toothed comb after applying conditioner. I have long straight hair & don't brush when wet & don't blow dry either & I have no split ends.:D |
I've never heard of them! What makes them different than a regular pin-head brush? Are they just waterproof? |
they look like a pin brush???? I have one but I like the madin brush I ordered from toplinepets more |
Hi. I am a licensed cosmetologist. Being that yorkies have hair like we do I would think thay the wet brush would be alright. I am currently using a mini on my yorkie. She loves it. It dosnt pull and hurt like when i used to comb it. These brushes are made to allow you to brush wet hair without the damage. Not like a regular brush with the balls at the ends. Completely different. Let me know how your baby likes it. Still always make sure her hair is wet when brushing. |
I use a wet brush on my toddlers mixed race hair - works like a charm! |
WHAT A GREAT IDEA !! I am ashamed I didn't think of that !! Thanks for the idea !! ordering one NOW !!!! |
my daughters and I have really thick hair and we love our wet brushes. We use them wet and dry. The bristles are VERY flexible and pretty much bend out of a big tangle, which takes longer to brush but! it is very sensitive and doesn't hurt at all. I use it on my little 5 month yorkie and she falls asleep under the blow dryer. Why no balls on the tips? They do not get stuck on tangles at all because as I said, the bristles are super duper flexible. Thumbs up on The Wet Brush from me...but, it won't be very effective on extremely tangled hair. |
