What would you do...... 3 Attachment(s) with this hair! I was trying to grow Joels hair out, but it's not working out. His legs keep matting and his beard is always messy! Now it's driving me crazy, but I'm not sure how I should cut it, The only part I don't want cut are the curls on his head, that would be sad, lol not sure if it would look wierd. I just dont think his type of hair is good for growing out. |
oh sorry have no advice for the type of haircut but i must say he has a gorgeous coat.. i can though how hard it must be for grooming .. maybe you could have him trimmed a bit |
Thanks, the thing that sucks is only his legs get matted, not his body but I can't shave his legs and let the body grow out, lol so then I have to cut the top part that doesn't need to be:( it's confusing |
i understand.. have your tried the chris christensen wooden pin brush. it works really well at getting thru the tangles. maybe a really good detangling spray... i understand you are torn about shaving him , he does have a gorgeous coat... http://www.petfooddirect.com/product...FQf0nAodIn0Acw |
Blazer has a really wavy coat, not curly, though. I was going to let his coat grow out through the winter- I thought it would keep him warmer outside- but it just started to get matted instead, especially his legs. Yesterday I bit the bullet, pulled out the clippers and scissors and started working on him. I took just a little bit of length off of his body, really cut down his leg hair (scissors only) and trimmed up his ears and just around the eyes. I left his head and face alone- a little longer. I like the results! =) So anyway, I guess my point is that I don't think he looks odd with short hair on his legs, longer on the body, longer still on his head but with a trimmed face. Ok, it makes more sense when I'm looking at Blazer and when I say it in my head. Sorry if it is confusing to read! LOL! |
It looks like Joel has a cotton coat like our Max. We keep Max's hair short everywhere. It too, mattes when long. Since he is my husband's buddy, he too, prefers it short. I think Max looks sweet with a very, handsome boy cut!:yay_jump: In the end it is up to you and how much time you have to keep it clean and matte-free! |
Thanks, I do need to find a good spray and brush, maybe with that and a trim it would work:D |
