Thanks, Kristin Gail told me to use it on Katie when she comes out of the pool. She just uses it to cool off because she plays so hard. Katie hops in every five to ten minutes, cools off, and is ready to run as fast as she can with her ball. Gail told me to rub it on the palm of my hands and run my hands through her coat. Even though there's no chlorine, she thinks all of the water could be drying for Katie. That's exactly how I use the Argan oil for my own hair. A tiny bit goes such a long way. | Yes I did:D After swimming with the dogs for so many years, water even if non chlorinated is drying; plus the heat and the sun.
It takes a bit to get "used" to how much to use. And you need to spread evenly over your palms what-ever amount you use. The thing is, it is natural, and the skin and hair shaft just soak it up. So after one day or so, unless you really over applied the oil, the hair will just look shiney and soft, but not greasy.
Yes although very expensive, a large bottle will last me about six months, maybe more as I use it on my Blackies furnishings too!. But not their whole body.
The Blackies get a Loonie sized dollop that I mix into my hands before running those hands through their beard. Then a quarter sized dollop for 2 leg furnishings.
Razzle with a fine silk coat, gets a quarter sized dollop for his whole body.
I also have used the argon oil in a specialty oil wrapping mix, for when I wrapped Razzle. |
