How to pluck hairs inside their ears? Hi Maya has lots of hairs inside her ears and I wanted to pluck them out. not sure what is the best way to do that. Thanks! |
Hemostats, tweezers, or your fingers all work. :) |
my mom does it at bath time,...wets a q-tip....sticks it in her ear, twist the q-tip around the hair a pull....Mine wont hold still...so...when they are laying on me I use baby scissors (round ends) and cut as close as I can with out cutting skin |

Hemostats work well because you can grasp a few hairs, twist the stat and the hair comes out. A bit of powder helps too. |

I can buy one and try. it doesnt hurt them though? looks a bit scary to pull a bunch of hairs at once! |
morgan's groomer does his// but i use my fingers also/ scared to use anything sharp/ he is such a wiggle butt |
The easiest way, imho, is to use your fingers , make sure the inside of her ears are DRY ( a dab of powder you can find at petsmart, petco for this purpose) and your fingers are dry, and grab a small amount (few strands) and pull very deliberately and quickly in one fast yank, it is out before they realize anything, and it will not hurt. It is when you take your time and twist and pull that it hurts them. I do it when my babies are laying on my lap or just hanging on the couch. Try this on your own hair, you will see what i mean:):) |
I use the ear powder and then pull a few at a time with my fingers. This is one of the things I really hate to do but usually my 4 get over it quickly. |
