help with brushing hair should u brush a yorkies hair when its wet or dry...?:aimeeyork |
i do both...i give cedric a good brush out prior to washing and then again after. but if not a bath day then hes dry when i brush him. |
i think i red if u brush it dry it brakes the hair.... |
well maybe if there are a ton of tangles...but i use a detangler spray either way. i dont believe that correct but maybe im wrong. |
I comb wet after a bath. If its not a full grooming day I use a spray bottle with some conditioner in it to dampen the hair so I dont damage it. Just like my own hair, I never use a brush on my dry hair. I use the same kind of spray bottle for my hair. |
NEVER brush a WET, DRY, or DIRTY hair, it will cause breakage. I work out tangles after a bath & always use some sort of conditioning spray. It helps to loosen the tangle. DON'T skip detangling & let the tangles settle & wait for another bath...it spreads! Some mats (esp if it's been there awhile) will shrink & tighten after a bath, so it's best to shave/cut it off...that's why so many pups come out from the groomers nekkid! lolll |
so i should damp it with some conditioner spray or detangler spray befor i comb his hair but dont use a brush Quote:
