Which CC brush? Okay, I need help!!!! I have been wanting to get Chris Christensen brushes for the longest time, and am finally ready to order them. I've been to their website to order at least 5 times in the last 2 weeks, but every single time I cannot decide, so I have yet to order  I am getting the 20mm wood pin brush for sure, I *think* in small. I CANNOT decide between the gold series and fusion brushes. What is the big difference, and what do you prefer? Also, should it be 20 or 27mm, and is the cc pocket/toy brush the same size as the small Madan? I have 2 Madan brushes, and never use the regular sized one. It feels too big to me. |
I will recomend the wood pin brush from maximo she is a member here I ordered her brush and is VERY nice, or nicer than the CC wood pin brush.. check out this thread.. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...l-systems.html |
Thanks Carmen! Quote:
20mm is the length of the Madan pins. 27mm is a good length too. Check the overall length of the brush. I have a 7" plastic handle pin brush from All Systems that is a little small in my hands. I just received their small wood handle pin brush today and I like it a lot. |

If the Madan is 20mm, I think I would just go with that on the CC too...... I love the feel of the small Madan and not the regular sized one. Is the wood brush you have on the smaller side? I'd much rather order from a YTer ;) |

To get more feedback on the differences between the gold and Fusion CC brushes, try posting a thread in the show section. The exhibitors will probably be able to give you more insight. Or, you could call the Chris Christensen offices. The number is on their website and they are very nice people. :) |
I have the gold CC 20mm is plenty long enough. I have the small size for Yorkies and the larger size for the Blackies. I only use these two brushes in the show ring, to help control static flyaway, when environment is dry. I also use Vellus anti static spray misted on either brush and bring into the ring with me. For home use, I think these two brushes are a bit pricey for general grooming. It would be the last brush I would get, and perhaps only use it prior to picture taking, or great event type of days. I do like the wooden pin brush, I have again the small and large size for my pups. Hope this helps. |
CC brushes I have original series, little 20mm for arms little parts and so, and 27mm pocket for body , I use them to brush and blow dry in first half time for second time I prefer another kind of brush. The original series has a firm cushion so I would try fusion or gold series but I'm confused too so I wrote to CC site for difference between brushes , this is the answer : The Fusion series pin brushes are our highest quality brushes. They have the thickest padding, made from treated wood, more pins, and static free. The Gold series is our second highest quality. It has a flexible cushion, but it is not as thick, and it is also made from a treated wood. I like the gold series the best because of the flexible cushion. Fusion is also in pocket size, Gold no |
