Bear is 6 months and 2 days old in this photo. The hair around his face is driving me crazy, but he won't let me trim it! :( He is going to the goomers next week. My question is, should I have them cut it, or let it grow? Maybe just trim around his face a little, to straighten it up a bit? Any suggestions would be grately appreciated! Thanks

I would just let them straigten it up Steph. It doesn't look like it will be very long at all until the hair on his nose starts laying down.

Thanks, Michelle. :) I just gave him a bath and tried again to trim it myself, but he WILL NOT let me! I'm so afraid of poking his eyes :eek:. He is doing much better with the bath now, thank goodness. Today was the first time he actually sat down in the tub. It looks like I'm going to have to pay the groomer! :(

I would ask them to tip his ears and trim over his nose / between his eyes. He looks like a sweetie :)

Is longer hair hard to maintain?

YES!!!:D..I had Jada and Bogie in full coats for over a year and I said, I will never have them in a short cut. Bogie is pure cotton and I broke down and cut his hair off except for beard and legs. I loved it so much, I had to convince DH to let me do Jada's the same way.
I will never have long hair on them again. They are both so much more comfortable and Jada started acting like a puppy again. Bath day has went from 2hrs each to about 45 minutes each.
I don't regret letting their hair grow out, because I have lots of pics of them in full coats, but I will never go back to long hair again.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. Sophie is cotton too, but it is also wavey, so it won't lay down even when longer, and her hair looks best short. I've tried to grow hers out but it tangled so easy. Ziggy has fine, curly hair, that's easy to maintain. Bear's hair is so straight and soft that I thought it might not be too hard to keep a little longer.

I bathed all three last night and my back is killing me! The shorter hair definitely does make it easier to brush when they wear clothes. We'll see what the groomer says this morning.

Jada and Bogie are both gorgeous! :)

Awww thanks Steph:) I think Bear would be easier to maintain with the longer hair. He seemed to be more silky (underneath all those mats from his puppy hair) You can always let it grow for a few months and see what it is like. That is the good thing about hair...it grows you can cut it and then it will always grow back:p
