We *May* Have Found A New Groomer! Many probably saw my ranting thread several months ago about a terrible grooming experience, so we have not been back to one except for a quick nail trim. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...rrors-end.html Well we went for a nail trim & I asked for a sanitary & belly shave. The groomer let me stay in the back with her & hold her the entire time. She was so soothing with touch & her voice. She shaved her belly last & by then Princess melted onto her back (waiting for a rub:p). I could literally feel her heartbeat slow down as the grooming progressed. This lady was sooo nice & sincere, she said she worked in a vet's office for many years & has lot's of experience with dogs. From what I understand, I'd be able to stay in the back when she gets groomed since that calms us both. She's also very moderately priced for our area. A full yorkie grooming, bath, cut, nails, anals (though I'll opt out), pluck ears, etc. is $30-$32! I'm giving it a lot of thought & will probably take Princess in once a week to be brushed or nails clipped by her to ease her terrible anxiety. The groomer was surprised by how terrified Princess was. So I go to pay the owner in the front of the boutique & she asked me who the previous groomer was & what happened & I tell her the story in a nutshell. She says "did you write about that on a review site?":D She said she saw it. Another customer in there chimed in that she took her Westie (senior:mad:) there & dropped him off. She forgot her keys so went back in & could hear her baby screaming. She could see he was being bathed under steaming hot water! Now I feel so bad, I don't even want to imagine what Princess endured there. That witch will get hers one day though, that's what I believe. At least there's a possibility others will see my review. |
