BioGroom?
 
Biogroom is one of my options for Amara's new shampoo. I'm a little confused on which shampoos to use though. There are so many options. I'm trying to gather as much information as possible. If anyone has anything to offer please do. Thank you.

I love the Biogroom Silk conditioner. I also use the Oatmeal Shampoo on his face.
I think that if this product works for you, it is a good value for the price.

Generally speaking most Yorkies would do well with a conditioning shampoo, and then a conditioner after shampoo.

I like the biogroom silk conditioner and the protein and lanolin shampoo. We also have used the fluffy puppy in the past.

We use Biogroom more than any other product. The oatmeal shampoo and silk creme conditioner save my boys' coats from complete destruction when they get really dirty and when they are really hard on their coats.

This is exactly what I use. I have tried many "boutique" lines and still find myself comparing them to Biogroom. :thumbup:

I'm supposed to recieve some samples of the oatmeal shampoo and conditioner soon. I'm excited about them.

When I emailed the company they sent me samples of several shampoos and the conditioner/cream rinse. So you’ll probably get the oatmeal, regular and fluffy puppy, along with the conditioner. Don't forget the product is highly concentrated and mix it with 4 parts water to 1 part product. For the conditioner, I mix a tablespoon in two cups of water and stir it and pour that over him.

Thanks for telling me that. I'm not very good with the concentration stuff yet. I'm learning though.

When I requested samples, they told me that they did not have any of the Silk Creme Conditioner. That is the good stuff!

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: for sure it is my goto conditioner of choice. I don't dilute it how-ever, but you probably could.

Remember to let the conditioner sit for at least 5 minutes 10 minutes preferable. I wrap Razz up in warm towels, and let hubby hold him, until I'm ready to rinse out conditioner. He loves the cuddling time:D

I recieved the oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. Protein lanolin shampoo, and the groom and fresh shampoo and conditioner. I've tried the oatmeal. It moisturized her very well. It didn't make her shine though. The has body though. Kinda.

I read and read tons before I chose a shampoo and conditoner and then chose Bio-Groom Fluffy Puppy Shampoo and the Silk Creme Rinse. I liked how Lu's hair was when I was using it. Very soft and smooth. One of my daughters didn't like the frangrance much though and would complain how Lu smelled. Lu seemed to be itchy after her baths for a few days and I tried diluting things more and making extra extra sure I rinsed really well but that didn't seem to help.

I have been trying earthbath Hypo-Allergenic Shampoo and the Creme Rinse & Conditioner and things seem to be better as far as itching but not perfect. I like how Lu's hair is now too but it's not quite as silky soft as with the Bio-Groom Silk.

Not to hijack this thread but does anyone have suggestions for a low frangrance anti static grooming spray for brush outs? I think I will start a thread about it but thought I would ask here as well.

Joey's breeder recommended Gerard/Pellham Ring 5 Whispering Mist spray. Ring 5 Whispering Mist Coat Spray, 8 oz pump by Gerard Pellham - Cherrybrook It help eliminates mats and tangles and moisturizes dry skin and smells great too.

Turns out Amara may have a cotton coat. So she is going to be pretty dull I guess. But I'm still trying shampoos.

Aw that's too bad. Are cotton coats always kind of dull? I'm afraid I don't know much about that part of things.

Cotton coats don't refract the light the way a silk coat does, but there are topical products that you can use to make the coat look shinier. A pure black coat cotton coat, rather than a "blue" silk coat, looks "flatter", but I’ve seen some that are beautiful.
