Should i get him Groomed? Afternoon everyone, my 11 week old baby boy Arthur is getting long now and when he has a "pee" it gets all in his Fur on his stomach, legs, and feet! Do you think i should get him groomed now or is it too early to take him? Does anyone else own a male that has this problem! :animal-pa |
Joey's breeder suggested leaving a little "pee string" on his penis to guide urine away from coat. Not all groomers do this and it can be very helpful, especially if you are growing a long coat. We keep the tummy and inside of the leg are hair free, and his little string seems to be working well. |

Cut the fur under the stumach but stop where the ribs are, and cut around his ''pee-pee'', but beware not to cut the dog cause they really get scared when you cut the skin my accident. Also you can cut inside the legs. I take Fido and wash him just with water about every 3-4 days on his stumach and legs if he pees himself much :) Also keep the hair on his ''pee-pee'' long ! it helps with this proplem, less pee that goes on the fur then :) |
I agree. I groom my dogs and I shave the hair on his belly and legs. I then cut the hair on his little wee wee so that it's sort of on an angle so it can spray away from his body. |
