Beamer's coat I have always kept Beamer's hair long. I love the long hair on him. I have a groomer come every week to groom him, but still have to brush and comb him daily. I am no longer physically able to spend the daily time brushing and combing him, so have decided to have him cut down. Problem is I still want to keep his top knot. Anyone have pics of their Yorkie with short hair and a top knot? I know I am probably going to cry for a week after he is cut down, but it is best for him and for me. What style would be best for him? |

Sylvia the body is basically shaved down but the leg hair stays long and around the face. That is if I understand correctly. Look at her 3rd picture. I think it is REALLY cute! |

Yep that looks a lot like it to me. And he looks adorable there!!! :) I think it is a cute cut for the Yorkies! I would think it would be a little easier to manage. |

Thanks Rhonda:) I called Sue (Beamer's groomer), she usually comes Wednesday's but she says she will come tomorrow. I am afraid if I waited until Wednesday I would change my mind. And I do need to do this. Darn! it is a b**ch getting old and not being as physically able to do things any more. |

Zhoie is so cute. The pic I posted of Beamer was January 2009. October 2008 we went on a cruise and we left Beamer and Lil Bit in kennels - a Preppy Pet Suite. We left instructions that we wanted Lil Bit to be shaved down (as we always keep her short) and Beamer was just to be groomed. When we got back from the cruise and picked them up they had shaved Beamer down and just groomed Lil Bit! The owner apologised and said his wife had the dogs mixed up!!!! I cried when I saw what they had done to Beamer. The pic taken in January was when his hair was growing back. (I didn't take any pics between October and January!) I am going to show the photo to Sue tomorrow and ask that she give Beamer a cut like it. |

Are you sure you want to keep the topknot? I saw a pic on here (sigh can't remember whose dog it was) but they kind of parted the hair from center head and it fanned out very attractively over the eyes framing that adorable yorkie face. |
