hair just not suited for a tk? So, Alice's hair has finally gotten long enough for a top knot, but she has a really thin coat. Every time I've put a tk in, it's a mess with little fly aways with in an hour or so and when I take it out (because it looks awefull:() her hair breaks. I've tried it with tk gel and without, I use the non-breaking bands, I cut the band out very carefully, it just never works out. There's no way i could use just a "scrunchy", it would come right out, her hair is that thin. Do some have hair that just will never be able to be in a tk no matter how long it gets? I'm really thinking about cutting it, just wanted to see if I should wait first. it's pretty long - when it's loose, the hair above her eyes kind of sticks up straight but then the ends flop forward in front of her eyes. |
Do you have a pic? When bobbi was growing, he had such thin hair as you describe. When it got long enough, I just folded it in half to make it half as think. Worked very well. |
We have made a decision to forget about the topknot for Ziva, her hair is very fine and now at two has turned more of a cream instead of silver. The boys all thought it looked silly and Ziva looked "pained" altho she would leave it in I had to make it quite tight and lost little hairs every time I redid it. Her ears are large and pretty close together , the smoother brow really just seems to look better. |
3 Attachment(s) Here's a few pics I just took (sorry they're not great, she's a stinker and always moves at the last minute so it gets a tad blurry:rolleyes:) Attachment 344877Attachment 344878Attachment 344879 This is right after I combed her. The hair on the top of her head gets really feathery and whispy when I comb it. I did finally break down and cut the hairs on the bridge of her nose right by the inside corners of her eyes yesterday because they got long and still wouldn't "lay" and I was sick of not being able to see her eyes, lol. That's what led me thinking about this, but figured I check with the experts before going too sissor happy;). |
