Wish Maddie & I Luck got the clippers charging and after i do a couple things im going to attempt her new cut---i hope i dont regret it when im done!:hands: |

It may go a little slower the first time, so don't forget to check you clipper blade to make sure it's not getting hot when working this close to the skin. :rolleyes: |

1 Attachment(s) well here it is---i like it--going to take awhile to get used to it though, but it turned out alot better than i thought it would--took me about 2 + hours-with breaks for maddie. i used a big clipper attachment and worked my way down to the smaller one. i know theres some trimming i need to do yet, but thought we would call it a day--a new doo and bath for maddie today! Attachment 343349 any suggestions on any other areas i need to work on? sorry for the small pic, took it with my phone. |

i was surprised though--i thought once i clipped her back she might be totally silver under neath---nope,,if anything she looks darker with short hair, even though u cant tell it in the pics |
You did a great job!! Maddie looks so good!! You will both love it for the hot summer months!!! I thought Jada would be lighter too when I cut all of her hair off, but she is jet black, no silver anywhere. |

She has a few ruff areas yet, but i figure she needs a break, and so do i, lol. plus i ordered a new curved blunt edge scissors, so ill wait till i get those to do the final trim, they should be here this week. i cant believe it took me almost 3 months to decide to do this, i was so scared. however hubbys not to fond of it, he likes her with her long hair. ohh well--:) kinda funny since he didnt like her at all when i first got her, and now hes tellin me how he wants her to look. hahaha. |

WOW, you did a fabulous job on Misty!:thumbup: Maddie looks so good in this cut! :D If was pretty easy to do, huh? It just seems so difficult. Funny you said your DH is not so fond of it, mine is just the opposite...he loves it on Zhoie. Go figure. |

i love the fact that i can put clothes on her this morning and her hair isnt a messy mess underneath. and it raining here again, shes gone out and gotta alittle wet,and doesnt look like a ungroomed,unbathed dog when she came in. alitte towel dry and good as new. i think she might be alittle happier to, the new doo is starting to grow on me.:D i love her round puffy head. Thanks for all the complements! |
What a great job you did. My clippers were just delivered so I have to gather my courage now. Did you do the toe pad hair as well? I am afraid of doing that and I need to keep up with it on Buster. Maddie looks so cute! |

Yes i have always done her pads and toes,as well as shave the top 1/3 of her ears and trim up her girly parts. thats the easy part for me. it was shaving her back and trimmin her legs. but i think the hardest was trying to round her face. but now that i have done it--it doesnt bother me to keep up on it--the fear is gone.:D just take alittle at a time and that way it grows back faster if there is a opps. You CAN do it---it took me 3 months to build up to it, and its not that hard;) the fear is what stops ya.:) |
