Bath Time
 
my little yorkie is disabled and gets dirty very quickly. not just the diaper area but all over as she scoots everywhere. I usually give her a bath once a week but she really needs them more than that. Is there any recommendations on a gentle non drying shampoo that I could use. Her coat and skin is in good condition. She is fed raw with an egg and a little added olive oil. Any ideas? Thanks

I use baby shampoo with built in conditioner and then I use a puppy spray leave in conditioner that moisturizes.

I use biogroom and it is great i bath gatsby when he is dirty whenever i need to. biogroom makes a puppy shampoo that might work well for twice a week bathing

I'd try a hypoallergenic shampoo like the one from Espree. Hypoallergenic shampoo's are gentle on the skin and can usually be used as often as necessary.

Also a self rinse shampoo can be used for in between clean ups. There is no need to rinse this off. I like Proline Self Rinse.

Can these be purchased at a local feed store or online.

CherryBrook carries the proline along with tons of other great products. Sometimes you can find the Espree line at Petco but the variety at each store is usually different.

I buy everything online usually.
