Chris Christensen Advice I just purchased the Day to Day System Kit from Chris Christensen. It has the Day to Day Shampoo, Thick and Thicker Volume Response Foaming Protein, After U Bathe Conditioner, and Ice on Ice. The shampoo says can be diluted 8:1. Do I need to do this? If you do dilute it do you do 8:1? It does not say to dilute the conditioner. Also, does anyone know about the other two products? The Ice on Ice is a detangler and finishing spray. By the way, Rosie has the fine silky hair. I am hoping this will work great on her. Any advice here will be appreciated. :) |
Yes, you should always dilute the shampoo. If it's too concentrated it will not rinse off properly and not rinsing thoroughly is the number one reason for white flaky skin. I've heard great things about Ice on Ice, but haven't tried it; Joey really doesn't tangle since he has his adult coat, he's also silky. It might be great after wearing clothes though. |
I dilute the shampoo and with the conditioner, I diluted it a little for my silky coated ones and not at all for my cottony coated ones. I use the Ice on Ice when dry brushing them. I love the Ice on Ice but on my silky coated ones it can make then look stringy so I use very sparingly. |

I use the Day to Day sometimes, as well as the clean start as a clarifying shampoo. I use it the same way I would use my own shampoo. Put a small amount in my hands, rub them together, and then disperse all over the dog. If you want to dilute it, put it in a squeeze bottle and squirt all over then massage into coat. The thick and thicker is for building volume in the coat. Not necessary for Yorkies really. The After Bath is a very light conditioner. Its main use is to get rid of any shampoo residue left on the coat and seal the cuticle. Its very light and doesn't weigh the coat down. The Ice on Ice is my favorite product. I use it on my hair as well as my yorkies hair. I spray it on after I towel dry them and massage it into the coat. Then I blow dry and comb the coat. Ice on Ice is a detangler, moisturizer, dirt, rain, snow, dust, and urine repellent, sunscreen, leave in conditioner, finishing spray and much much more. I used it during the blizzards this winter on Morgan's legs and it stopped her from getting "snowball legs" when she went outside to potty. I also use it to prevent tear stains by applying it with a q-tip to the under eye area. Also on my own hair I swear it keeps your hair color from fading longer because of the sunscreen in it. I was able to go longer in between coloring. |

I need to find a breed that can use the Thick and Thicker. Time to see if any of my friends need it. :) Thanks all for the advice. I really appreciate it! :) |
