Clip the hair to the edge of the foot..round it off...you can clip it shorter on the foot for a pet coat. |

you already got great advice from Pat for the top. For the bottom I like to use either small clippers or a moustache trimmer. Yorky Club Magazine - United by passion for Yorkies [Shopping categories] Here is a link to a really great DVD. |
Bottom of foot, Use blunt nosed scissors or a clipper. Make sure you go between pads of paw. If top of foot, one way is to hold just above ankle and trim in a circular pattern over foot. |
Are you getting a choppy looking coat that is too short? I see you asked "in a full coat" so I feel like you may know how to cut the bottom of the pad. Is this correct? Separate the leg coat at the knee coat. If you don't pull the rest of the coat away prior to cutting you cut the foot too short. Pull the coat down & cut an outline around the foot. You will only cut an outline of leg cut around the foot. Some people do it on the grooming table. By cutting the outline of the foot. I can't do it this way. |
